The Yakima Valley Libraries Winter Reading Challenge Is Back!
Yakima, WA — Booklovers throughout the Yakima Valley are invited to take Yakima Valley Libraries’ adult Winter Reading Challenge. The Challenge is a fun way for adult patrons to explore new book genres, try diverse authors, or simply re-discover favorite books—all while earning a chance to win prizes for reading!
To participate in the Challenge, patrons can pick up a ‘book bingo’ card from any Yakima Valley Libraries location, or visit www.yvl.org/winter to print one at home.
The book bingo card is a participant’s game board for the Winter Reading Challenge, and each square on the board has a different category for types of books, such as “Award Winner,” “Genre You Don’t Usually Read,” or “Out of Your Comfort Zone.”
After reading or listening to a book that matches a specific category, participants fill in that square. For every bingo that a participant completes during the Challenge, they’ll earn an entry into a drawing for one of several prizes, including VIP library experiences, and a variety of gift cards and gift baskets, which were generously donated by the Yakima Valley Libraries Foundation, with support from Inklings Bookshop.
The Winter Reading Challenge ends on Sunday, March 31st.
For more information, including complete instructions, printable game cards, suggested book lists, and the list of prizes, visit www.yvl.org/winter.
