This collection is an extension of a Yakima Valley Libraries’ value of Learning and Creativity (the library is a place to learn, explore, and be creative). Library customers can dive into new experiences without cost, discovering ways to find entertainment or enhance their lives through useful items.

Launchpad learning tablets are designed just for kids ages 3-10. Each tablet comes pre-loaded with high-quality, ad-free apps that are both fun and educational. Apps are grouped by age, grade level, subject area and themes like, language arts, math, critical thinking and creativity—making it easy for parents and kids to choose a tablet that fits their interests and needs.
Seed Library
You can check out seeds for free from a number of library branches. We have a variety of fruit, vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. Feel free to take some seeds; just sign them out at the library’s main desk. Once you’ve planted and harvested the plants, bring some seeds back to “check in” and share with others!
