Yakima, WA – Saturday is Free Comic Book Day and comic book collectors, lovers and readers are all invited to the Sunnyside Community Library to celebrate in style!
Free Comic Book Day is an international event where participating comic book retailers and bookstores give away free comic books. Many public libraries, like Yakima Valley Libraries, have also gotten into the spirit of the unofficial holiday, while adding their own twist: a comic book swap.
During Free Comic Book Day at the Sunnyside Community Library, patrons are invited to bring in their own comics to share and swap with others. They will also be able to pick new comics from a large selection of free comic books donated by publishers and library staff.
The fun begins at 2pm.
