Any YVL library card holder whose account is in good standing with no fees over $10.00.
NOTE: Purchase requests become a Hold Request (25 allowed per card) in approximately 1-2 weeks after submission. Library card accounts that already have 25 Hold Requests will not have a hold placed for them.
Requested items published within the last 2 years
Books, Music CDs, Audiobooks, DVDs published within the last 2 years
- Titles we already own. For example, you may receive a Large Print edition instead of the standard print requested.
- Items more than 2 months from publication date.
- Items that are out of print or used.
- Textbooks
- Titles published outside the United States
Anywhere from 4 – 8 weeks for your item to be ordered and processed for check out.
You may have a total of 5 Purchase and/or Interlibrary Loan (ILL) requests on your account at one time.
NOTE: All items count until they become a hold request or show a status of “returned.” (See ILL FAQs for more information.)
Include your email address in the form when submitting your request. This is the best way for us to communicate with you about your request
Check your library card account online at yvl.org. If the title you requested is purchased we will place a hold on your account.
If we purchase your requested item, we will place a hold on it for you as long as your account has hold space available. (Each account has a 25 hold limit.)
